Journal Jar

A few days ago I got my first Journal Jar from a swap package. I liked the idea that much that I wanted to make one myself. The jar is not filled with the questions yet, but I will do that tomorrow. I plan to fill that one with German questions and swap it. But I'm also willing to make an English one if someone wants to swap.

Cases for cameras, iPhones and other stuff!

Yesterday and today I sewed again and made those cases you can use for your cell, phone, your camera and other stuff. They are all to swap or sell or whatever. If you want one, let me know. 

Strawberry-banana-dessert!

Yesterday I made a dessert again. I got some ideas from Pinterest but the result is my own creation.

You need:

for the Crust

* 25 small Oreo cookies, crushed into crumbs

* 3 teaspoons of butter, melted

for the filling

* 3 Bananas

* 15 strawberries

* 500g "Quark" (I guess you can't get that in all countries)

* 32g (4 packs) vanilla sugar 

* 2 vanilla extracts 

for the Garnish

* 200g of whip cream

* chocolate flakes

Directions:

* Stir together the Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter. Evenly divide the crumbs between your individual serving dishes and press into the bottoms of the dishes to form a crust layer.

* Beat the "Quark", the vanilla sugar and the vanilla extract until smooth and add it on the top of the cookie crumbs in the servings

* Slice the bananas and put the on the top of the cream (2 layers). Then put half sliced strawberries on the top.

* Decorate the dessert with whip cream and chocolate flakes and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours before serving.

Nutella Cheesecake Dessert

Yesterday I tried out a new recipe I found on Pinterest. It didn't come out bad but I would use less Nutella next time unless you like it really sweet.

You need:

for the Crust
* 12 Oreo Cookies, crushed into crumbs

* 3 tablespoons butter, melted

for the Filling
* 8 ounces cream cheese

* 2/3 cup Nutella

* 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

* 8 ounces whip cream

for the Garnish
* whip cream

* chocolate flakes

Directions:

* Stir together the Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter. Evenly divide the crumbs between your individual serving dishes and press into the bottoms of the dishes to form a crust layer.

* Beat the cream cheese and Nutella until smooth. Add vanilla and mix to combine. Fold in the whip cream until well blended and no streaks remain. 

* Evenly pipe or spoon the filling into individual serving dishes. If desired, garnish with additional whip cream and chocolate flakes.

* Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

My first quilt!

Yesterday I finished my first quilt and I guess I like it. It's not perfect but not bad for the first one. This quilt will decorate the new coach then (I don't have yet :P). To make it I used all my fabric rests. :D

This week I sewed a lot. I started on a quilt, but I show pictures when it's done. Here are some owl key chains and pot handles I sew for my crafts swap packages. But if someone wants one, let me know. :D I will make more!

Recipe Book

I just made that recipe book for my good friend and pen pal Crystal. She ordered me something and that will be part of her surprise I wanna mail soon. Crystal, I hope you like that journal.

Cats and Dogs Bandanas

Today I finally sewed some cats and dogs bandanas with my new fabrics I bought in California. On the front I used cute fabrics with little pictures and the back is a normal blue, little bit ticker fabric.

Those are all to swap or sell. If you wanna buy them, I want 6,50 Euro for one and 12 Euro for two plus shipping.

A mobile for a friend!

A few days ago I made that mobile for my friends' baby. I'm not really happy with the result, because I saw it on another blog and it was so cute. But I guess for the first time I made it, not bad. I hope she will like it. Sorry for that bad picture. I couldn't take a better one.

Death Valley

Death Valley is a dessert in the East of California and Nevada. In summer it can get really, really hot there. It has its record with 57 °C. 

Badwater, a basin located in Death Valley, has the lowest elevation in North America with 282 feet below the sea level. The salty ground around the "pool" in Badwater makes the water undrinkable, that's why it got its name.

The Devil's Golf Course is a large salt pan with large salt crystal formations. Only the devil could play golf on it, that's how it got its name.

Ubehebe Crater is a large volcanic crater in the north part of Death Valley!
